Three audiences, one site
Visitors, members and conference attendees need different paths through the same navigation, without it feeling crowded.
Portfolio / Case study
A professional association of fundraising and advancement staff needed a site that explains the organization, supports its annual conference and gives members their own area. We built it on WordPress.
The goal
Different people arrive with different needs. Prospective members want to see what joining offers, members want their own tools and attendees want conference details that are always current.
Visitors, members and conference attendees need different paths through the same navigation, without it feeling crowded.
Each edition needs its own page, a committee page and an archive of previous years, so nothing is lost when a new one begins.
Some pages and the member directory are meant for people who log in, so access had to be separated from the public site.
What we built
A multi-level menu groups About, Annual Conference, Jobs, Membership Benefits and a Members Only area, with a Contact button always in view.
A page for the upcoming conference, an archive of previous ones and a conference committee page.
A dedicated place for job openings in the field, linked from the main menu.
Member login and logout, a members landing page and a member directory.
A logo wall of member institutions plus board of directors and bylaws pages build credibility.
A slider with the core messages, a featured campaign and a call to join the network.
How members use it
About, board, bylaws and member institutions explain who is involved.
A membership benefits page sets out why joining is worth it.
Members sign in to reach the members only area.
Members browse the directory, check the jobs page and follow conference news.
What is live
The site is live. Membership and event figures will be added here once the client approves sharing them.
